Wang Chuanliang Meets with MCU Vice President

Beijing, 3rd December, 2018, (BISTU)— Secretary General Wang Chuanliang of CPC BISTU Committee meets with Prof. Wang Jinliong, Vice President for Academic Affairs of Ming Chuan University (MCU) and holds talks on future cooperation and enhancement of informatization level for both institutions. The meeting is attended by BISTU Vice President Chen Gang.  


On behalf of BISTU, Wang Chuanliang extends warmest welcome to Prof. Wang Jinlong and offers an introduction to BISTU’s supernormal, big-stride development in recent years with focus on strategic thinking of “construction of five environments” and efforts which faculties and staff have paid for building a high level university with distinctive feature in information technology. Wang Chuanliang particularly talks about achievements we have made in construction of the New Campus. He points out that BISTU and MCU have made well progress in staff training. It is expected that collaboration would be strengthened in the field of informatization and educational globalization for development of both institutions.  


Wang Jinlong strongly agrees with development strategy of BISTU and points out that the practice of BISTU, focusing on development of academic discipline clusters with information as the major feature, will have a bright prospect in an information era. Wang Jinlong shares some experiences of MCU and higher education institutions in Taiwan region in respect of informatization. He expresses that MCU is ready to work together in sharing experiences of MCU in informatization. Furthermore, MCU has accumulated rich experiences in accreditation of business school and engineering subjects and would like to offer due help when necessary. Wang Jinlong stresses that he is willing to deliver lectures and seminars when BISTU needs corresponding assistance.  

The talks are hosted by Vice President Chen Gang who expresses that MCU is one of the forerunners among Taiwan institutions in the field of informatization and has accumulated rich experiences. It is time that BISTU learn from experiences and successful practices of MCU in informatization, strengthen top design, promote inter-connectivity of data of all information systems within the University, and serve students with the big data obtained from informatization of the University.  


The talks also see fruitful discussion and negotiation on future cooperation in the field of faculty visit, informatization, and joint education of computer science majors between MCU and relating divisions of BISTU, including Human Resources Office, Network Center, and School of Computer Science. Both parties reach consensus on details of implementation.  

The meeting is attended by Dr. Lu Jing, Director of Office for Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Affairs, Director Chen Xin of Human Resources Office, Dean Li Ning of School of Computer Science, Director Gong Hanming of Network Center, and Executive Deputy Director Wang Zhiyong of General Administration Office.
